In order to maintain a safe environment The City of Champaign prohibits items and conduct that may lead to public harm or distress, interference of staff duties, or a disruption of event programming. Violation of the Code of Conduct can result in removal and/or banning from the Festival District.
Code of Conduct
• Do not bring prohibited items into the entertainment district
• Drink Responsibly
• Let the performers entertain without interference
• Refrain from using discriminatory, threatening, or harassing language
• Refrain from any acts of violence, fighting, or instigating conflict
• Shirts, pants (shorts/bottoms etc.), and shoes required
• Refrain from throwing objects or unruly behavior that may harm others
• Respect festival staff and comply with requests regarding safety and security
• Solicitation with authorization only
• Refrain from any acts of sexual harassment including stalking, unwanted verbal comments, non-consensual photography or recording, and unwelcome physical attention
List of Prohibited Items
• Weapons o (Examples include firearms, bb guns, air guns, paint ball guns, knives, swords, pepper spray, self-defense tools, chains, and the like)
• Alcohol not purchased from an approved vendor within the district
• Glass containers
• Canabis
• Fireworks or explosives
• Animal pets
• Illegal drugs and paraphernalia
• Drones or motorized vehicles
